Founder, CEO

Avni Balakrishnan is the founder and CEO of Colors of Mind: Dance, which was developed due to the increase in mental health issues in youths.

Vice President

Raven Norris is the Vice President of Colors of Mind: Dance. As Avni’s partner, she helps contribute to the goal of improving the mental well-being of children by supporting and providing insight towards the nonprofit.

Registered Dance/Movement Therapist

Wakelyn Malitz is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Body Psychotherapist, Dance/Movement Therapist, and holds a Master’s degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from Naropa University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dance from Lamar University. Her primary work focuses on creating safe spaces for humans to experience nervous system regulation and optimal brain/body connection and functioning. Wakelyn will be a guide as you rewire and fire new neural pathways through movement and creative expression!
